The sales team, or, more generally, those staff who come into day to day contact with customers,
are today's company's most important asset – whether they're salesmen, key account managers, consultants, order processors,
shop assistants, product managers or support staff.
Why? Because the things which 5 or ten years ago were a company's USPs, such as high product quality, service and delivery
are presuppositions for its survival in today's market.
Today, success and growth are dependent on professional customer management and value creation, whether the sales process
is based on components, knowledge, lead generation or additional sales to existing customers/dealers.
A company without a professional sales team and sales process can be compared to a football team which plays good and
entertaining football without scoring. At the end of the day, it is often marginals which determine a customer's choice
of supplier.
This paradox arises due to a decline in the number of professional sales personnel who can create genuine added value for
the customer. Increasing numbers of routine procedures have been introduced which are first implemented when the customer
actively requests something.
Our mission is to train and develop the sales team so as to create turnover and bottom line growth for our customers in
three areas:
 |
Increased customer volume from lead generation |
 |
Value-based sales which create additional profits for the same investment |
 |
Growing sales to existing customers through additional sales from lines the customer already buys or selling a wider variety of products to the customer. |
A key factor in achieving growth lies in challenging companies to question their ingrained habits and caution and to focus instead on what the company could achieve if it had a professional sales force rather than simply being satisfied with the company's existing market position.
If you, as the manager of a company, have the vision to realise this you are left with two alternatives:
Either train your existing staff or initiate a new and expensive recruitment drive searching for the needle in the haystack.
