Objective/Success Criteria for the
Training
The purpose of the training was first and foremost to ’lift’ our sales
consultants so they understand a value-based sales process better and
thus may contribute positively to the total turnover and earnings of
Lesjöfors. The training should include a wide target group of sales
consultants and order processors.
The Choice of Supplier
Our management was contacted directly by Michael Hove from SalesPartners
who presented the concept. We primarily considered the concept
goal-oriented and interesting because:
a) we could goal-orient the training with our own products,
clients and examples of sales processes.
b) the training could be customised and thus match our needs.
c) the training could be held in-house, meaning that a wider
target group in Lesjöfors could participate from time to time.
Afterwards we tested our concept in connection with our sales group and
everyone in the group supported the concept. Subsequently, a 12-month
training period was planned and initiated.
Training Method
The course was divided into 9 modules of 3 hours each time where the
action plans were followed up each time. In connection with each module
an internal preparation where the individual modules are targeted,
including examples from the daily work, takes place. The concept makes
it possible to hold our own internal meetings, however, we have
afterwards assessed that we need an external chairman for the entire
process.
Training Results
Having completed 4 modules, we have noticed that the focus on the
value-based sales has improved in general.
The focus on an increased contribution margin per krone (DKK) earned and
additional sales to existing clients has improved. In general, I believe
that the competences of the group have improved. The training has
moreover given us an overall brush up and team building of the sales
group.
Evaluation of SalesPartners/Return on Investment:
We are very satisfied with everything and we feel that we have got good
value for money when it comes to our investment.
